What's New?

We have a lot of exciting things happening around our building! We have chicks inside our building and pending ducklings outside our building! This is an excellent way to teach respect and build empathy!

This is our last week of the Positive Behaviour Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Respect Campaign before we start the fun part – the recognition week!! We have spent the last 3 weeks teaching about our 3 positive expectations for Respect:

  • Listen to Others
  • Follow Expectations
  • Embrace Uniqueness

Now we will be watchful for students who will take what they have learned and put it into action! When students are observed demonstrating the positive expectations, they will have their name put up on our bulletin board for recognition!

A reminder to ensure you are sending your children to school with extra clothing (including socks)! This spring weather has been enjoyed by our students and the puddles act like magnets to many of them! We have supported many changes throughout the day and our extra clothing supplies are limited!

Register Now for 2024/25 Bus Transportation

Transportation registration is now open for the 2024/25 school year. Families who currently use RVS bus services will receive an enrollment form directly in SchoolEngage; please complete this form even if your child is not returning to bus service. Families requiring new service will also be able to complete a new registration form in SchoolEngage.

To access SchoolEngage, please log in through your PowerSchool parent account. If you do not have a PowerSchool account, please contact your school directly before June 26 for assistance.

To guarantee service for the first day of school, registration must be received before Aug. 1. Students registered after this deadline may experience delays of two to three weeks before they can ride the bus as late applications will be processed with a start date after Sept. 18.

Families who register before June 30 will receive an early registration discount of $40. This is extended to each of the first two students in a family, with additional students receiving $20 off if registering early. A minimum payment of 50 per cent is due at registration. Bus service may be cancelled up until Oct. 31, 2024 to receive a full refund.

Transportation fees for 2024/25 will remain the same as 2023/24. A step-by-step guide to registration, fee information and more is available on the RVS website.

2025/26 & 2026/27 School Calendar Survey

Rocky View Schools (RVS) invites you to give feedback regarding the proposed school calendars for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 school years. Beginning in 2025/26, RVS is considering the introduction of a fall break in November to support staff and student well-being. The survey includes questions about the impact a break in November might have for you and your family. It is important to note RVS is legally required to include a minimum number of school days, professional learning days and all statutory holidays into every school year calendar. To learn more about the options being presented and to provide feedback, visit RVSEngage. The survey will be open beginning May 20 and close June 17 at 4 p.m. The Board anticipates making a decision next fall. Thank you for your time and input.

Land Acknowledgment
